Another month of work on the album, another update. First off, thanks to all who've stopped by to listen to the sound clips. The positive feedback has been a real boost. Not that we're going to change anything, but it's great to hear positive reinforcement after all the hard work we've put into the songwriting and the recording. (Those clips will remain posted for a while.)

So here's where we stand -- all of Tom's lead vocals are done, and all of the rhythm guitars are finished as well. All that's left are the balance of my leads, some backing vocals, some other guitar overdubs and a few other odds 'n' ends. We still might have a backing vocal session where we round-up the troops for some shouting. Also, we have a special guest guitarist coming in to play the main lead on Etched In Sand. We'll announce who this is in our next update.

As for the songs on the album, there will be 10. They are as follows: Breaking Point; Day In The Sun; Enemy; Engines; Etched In Sand; Exploiter; Forward Rearview; Here In Hell; I, Punishment; and Positively Negative. We've got a pretty good idea of what the running order will be, and when that is set we'll let y'all know.

Last Friday night (18 March) the 4 of us got together to hear our progress. Listening to everything in one sitting in a nearly completed state was very cool. We aren't getting giddy yet, though, 'cause there's still more work to be done. The plan now is to have all the tracking completed by our next update (3-4 weeks), and to have a mixing schedule in place.
